subMERGE

subMERGE is a free physics-based puzzle game playable in your browser. The premise is simple: merge small pieces into progressively larger ones, all while trying not to overflow out of the box. Some pieces are assigned random modifiers like "Heavy" or "Bouncy", adding an element of unpredictability to every round. The player may also leverage several abilities, unlocked by scoring points. These get more expensive with every ability used.

Scoring

Scoring is dictated by a few factors:

TierLarger pieces award more points, +5 per tier.
CombosChain reactions, where a newly merged piece quickly merges again, multiply the reward.
MultipliersPlaying neatly rewards the player with multipliers. Having few pieces in the box or sorting them by tier are signs of tidy play.

Hand of GodFreely drag the arena until the timer runs out.
Free RotateRotate the arena until the timer runs out.
PoofInstantly clear all low-tier pieces.

Descent

subMERGE features an element of visual progression. The player starts in space merging planets, progressively descending through various layers, each with its own pieces, backgrounds, and original music tracks.
